The refuge is located on Mount Balùr in an area within the Alpi Marittime Natural Park.

The Balur Refuge is located near Colle Balur, which is located in Valle Gesso, more precisely in the side valley of Roaschia, a few km south of the town. It divides Monte Balur (1827 m) from Monte Testas (1830 m) and offers a remarkable panorama of nearby Bisalta and, on the opposite side, of Monte Bussaia and Punta del Van.

Capacity: 12 beds in a single dormitory
The refuge is not managed, no drinks are served.
