Structure open only in the summer season.
The Baita Monte Gelas was born in 1953 thanks to Giovanni Gerbino and Caterina Mellano. Since then our family has been offering hospitality and refreshments to visitors to the upper Gesso Valley.

Die beiden Strukturen werden von der Familie Gerbino verwaltet und sind ein Rast- und Erfrischungspunkt für Wanderer, die St. Jakob durchqueren.
Die Herberge des Parks verfügt über 7 Zimmer mit Bad für insgesamt 24 Plätze. Im Erdgeschoss befindet sich ein Wohnzimmer mit Kamin. Die gastronomische Spezialität der Baita ist Maispolenta aus Steinmehl, begleitet von Käse und Fleisch aus der Region.


Practical informations

Our structure is designed to welcome hikers by offering a half-board service. There are 6 bedrooms with 1 to 4 beds with private bathrooms and a living area as a meeting place. Half board includes dinner for refuge guests only and includes a menu that changes every evening with appetizer, first course, second course and dessert.

Adjacent to the Hiking Hut is the Baita Monte Gelas, which offers bar and restaurant services.

The traditional lunch menu includes polenta with side dishes of locally sourced meats and cheeses and homemade desserts.
