The Malinvern refuge (1836 m) is located in the municipality of Vinadio (CN), in the Stura di Demonte valley in the Maritime Alps. Built in 1940 and destroyed by fire and vandalism following the Second World War in 1943, it was rebuilt in the current modern architecture only starting from the 1990s on the initiative of the CAI Section of Ceva which still manages it today.
The building consists of a two-story masonry structure, with a large window on the side of the facade.

The Refuge has a total of 46 beds distributed in 8 rooms for 2, 3, 6 and 9 people.
The beds are arranged on the two floors, divided between a room for two people, two for three people, two bedrooms for six people and two dormitories for nine people.
Each floor is equipped with hot water, toilets and showers, for a total of four bathrooms for the whole structure.
The refuge, also equipped with a heating system, has a dining room and a kitchen on the ground floor.
Electricity is supplied by a small hydroelectric turbine.
