Located on the large plateau (Pian Rosso) above the town of Viozene, the Mongioie refuge is the ideal starting point for excursions at high altitude.
The Mongioie massif (2630m) slopes down towards the refuge with spectacular limestone formations up to 350m high where you can climb beautiful rock.
In addition, there are many activities related to the mountain accompanied by typical and seasonal cuisine.

Stone building on two floors, built by the CAI members of the Albenga section, it was inaugurated in 1989 and completely renovated in 1998.

Completely restructured in 98,
Today it offers:
46 beds divided into three bedrooms with 8 beds, one with 6 and one with 16, with showers and bathrooms on the bedroom floor;
20 emergency hospitalization places


Practical informations

Opening period Continuous opening from 1st May to 30th October.
During the winter season the refuge will be open every weekend and on holidays (weather permitting).
