The Morelli-Buzzi Mountain Hut was built by the CAI (Italian Alpine Club) of Cuneo in 1931, expanded in 2000, and completely renovated in three phases between 2010 and 2012.
It is located in the enchanting Lourousa Valley, in the heart of the Maritime Alps Regional Nature Park, at the foot of the north face of Monte Stella.

The building is spread over three floors and offers guests accommodation in dormitories, all of which are heated.
From the refuge, in addition to access to various peaks (Argentera North and South, Monte Stella, Cima Oriol, Cima Mondini, and the Aste range) and the opportunity to hike to other refuges in the park, there are many fully equipped climbing routes available for climbers.
Those looking to relax can do so in the company of the ibex, which are easily spotted in the area around the refuge, while enjoying breathtaking sunsets over Monte Matto.
