Rifugio Dante Livio Bianco 1890 m
The mountains surrounding it are sure to satisfy the experienced mountaineer, the hiker, and the day-tripper, all of whom will be enchanted by the splendid panorama.
Owned by the Cuneo branch of the C.A.I., the refuge is a sturdy building made of exposed stone with a metal roof. It features private rooms and a dormitory, indoor restrooms, and heating.
It was a group of mountaineering friends and partisans from “Giustizia e Libertà” who, together with their families, took the initiative to honor Dante Livio Bianco, a native of Cuneo, a skilled mountaineer, respected jurist, and valiant partisan commander, by building a mountain hut. The new hut was inaugurated on September 18, 1963.
