The refuge is dedicated to Lorenzo Bozano, first secretary and vice president for 18 years, finally president of the Ligurian section of the CAI, from 1904 to 1913.
Pioneer and promoter of Genoese mountaineering, he was one of the founders of the Academic Alpine Club.

The Lorenzo Bozano refuge is a refuge located in the municipality of Valdieri (CN), in the Gesso valley, in the Maritime Alps, at 2453 m a.s.l. It is located within the Maritime Alps Natural Park.
It rises at the foot of the southern wall of Corno Stella in the upper Argentera valley, in the municipality of Valdieri (CN).
it is the ideal starting point for mountaineers and free climbers, who can choose from a hundred routes between 200 and 800 meters in altitude, not to mention climbing on low structures (1 or 2 pitches) or on the boulders around the refuge.
It is also an excellent destination for hikers, being in the heart of the Maritime Alps natural park.
