The Quarzina Mountain Hut is located in the heart of the Ligurian Alps, at the foot of Pizzo di Ormea.
Situated in the village of the same name, which is accessible by car year-round, it offers breathtaking views of the Tanaro Valley, Colle di Nava, all the way to the Ligurian Sea, and sometimes even Corsica.

The hub of a dense network of trails suitable for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding, it lies along the red route of the Via Alpina and serves as a stop on the Balconata di Ormea trail. It is an ideal starting point for summer and winter climbs up Pizzo di Ormea and the nearby peaks of Bric Conoia and Mongioie, as well as a natural gateway to the Marguareis Regional Nature Park. The indoor dining room and the spacious summer terrace offer breathtaking views of the Tanaro Valley, Colle di Nava, and the Ligurian Sea.
The lodge’s commitment to the environment is reflected in its biomass boiler, solar thermal panels, recycling program, and water and energy conservation efforts
